Below is a recipe for an old formulation with claims that it ''can be used for prevention of lenticular opacity pre-operatively and for prevention of Posterior Capsular Opacity (PCO), post-operatively, in patients with cataract.''
The mechanism behind such claims is not clear. None of the ingredients of the eye drop has been previously shown to possess antioxidant or antiglycation effects, nor would they be able to regenerate denatured crystallins.
Not sure how it works.
